Traffic stream in zone "Transition"
If a traffic stream reaches the traffic stream status "Traffic stream in the main request area" and the traffic stream is also taken into account by the control management, the system checks every second whether the stage transition to PT must be initiated. This means that vs | plus calculates the transition duration to PT on a traffic stream basis based on the pending stage and initiates the stage transition so that a PT receives green according to the expected arrival second. The traffic stream-dependent transition duration between the traffic streams is self-learning, taking into account the intergreen times and offsets. vs | plus thus maintains a transition matrix that contains the largest transition duration that has occurred between the individual traffic streams. This is intended to ensure that a stage transition to a PT does not take place too early and that the PT can be controlled "to the second".
