It is possible that a traffic stream is to be extended by a parallel one. For example, a pedestrian crossing (passive traffic stream, is extended) is to be maintained by its parallel individual traffic stream (active traffic stream, which is extended). The passive traffic stream receives the extension criterion from its active traffic stream. This means that the passive TS is maintained for as long as its active TS is extended.
The green duration of the passive traffic stream is determined by its green times by default.
