In OCIT, it is possible to set additional influences in each signal programme. The following commands can be sent from an OCIT control centre.

VA

Traffic dependency on / off

OePNV

PT influencing on / off

IVVA

IT influence on / off

It is the task of the control unit to react to these influences. Since the vs | plus core is called by the control unit, it is its task to pass these commands on to vs | plus. In order to guarantee uniform behaviour of the control units, the procedure for vs | plus is defined as follows:

VA on

vs | plus runs and processes the inputs and switches the signal groups.

VA off

The control unit switches to fixed time and vs | plus observed.

OePNV on / OePNV off

vs | plus is running and the influence is passed on to vs | plus and processed via the PT on/off flag.

IVVA on / IVVA off

vs | plus is running and the influence is passed on to vs | plus and processed via the PT on/off flag.

OePNV off / IVVA off

The control unit switches fixed time, but vs | plus is called up in reduced mode. This means that the device switches the signals, vs | plus processes the inputs but does not switch any signals.

Each traffic stream (regardless of the traffic stream type) can be marked via this identifier as to whether it reacts to the OCIT function or not. This means that IT or PT  traffic streams can be processed. Traffic streams that are marked "off" for the OCIT function are not processed during stage processing. Traffic streams that are not green due to a parallel IT, green flag or other measures therefore remain red until the OCIT function is switched to "on" again.

If the command for "off" is transmitted from the control device to vs | plus, the corresponding traffic stream with its detectors / message points can no longer log on. Registrations received before this time are still processed until deregistration or forced cancellation. Registrations of a new vehicle are no longer taken into account.

All other types of registration such as green flags, minor stream without call, etc. will continue to work. Registrations received during the "off" command in vs | plus are registered (serial message points are entered in the PT module), but have no effect on the vs | plus control system. If the "off" command is cancelled by the control unit, all calls that have not yet been served (traffic stream had green, PT has logged off) are treated as a normal call.

During the "off" command, the corresponding traffic streams can register, but this has no influence on the control. However, the conditions of vs | plus still apply. This means that registrations of IT traffic streams are only cancelled when the corresponding traffic stream has green. In the case of PT traffic streams, the registration is only cancelled with a deregistration or the conditions of forced cancellation apply. This means that PT traffic streams that do not receive a cancellation and the traffic stream never turns green are not forcibly deleted. Only when the "off" command is no longer present can there be a forced cancellation.
