The logical detector coupling can link four IT detectors. The detectors must belong to the same traffic stream. If other detectors are assigned to the traffic stream, the remaining detectors are automatically ORed. First, the detectors are analysed according to their parameters as standard. Then the logical link is made and the result is applied to the corresponding traffic stream. Depending on the type, the traffic stream is registered, extended or analysed for congestion.

Figure 76: Schematic representation of the logical detector linkage

The evaluation is based on the detector waiting time. A detector wait time is only reset if the assigned traffic stream is green or after the parameterised hold time has expired. If "No request" or "NOT" is checked, this should be parameterised as less than "Duration" for the detector. The parameterisation takes place in the editor "Detector parameters IT:  Standard" editor in the "THOLD" field. Alternatively, the detector waiting time can be reset via open vs | plus programming. If it is not possible to reset the detector waiting time, the (NOT) condition can no longer be fulfilled and the dependent traffic stream would never be registered again.

6.2.6

When logically linked detectors are called, there is no check that the traffic stream (TS) must be red for a call.
