The logical traffic stream coupling can link four IT traffic streams. First, the traffic streams are analysed according to their parameters as standard. Then the logical link is made and the result is applied to the corresponding traffic stream. Depending on the type, the traffic stream is registered, extended or analysed for congestion.

Figure 77: Schematic representation of logical traffic stream linking

The evaluation is based on the traffic stream waiting time. A traffic stream waiting time is only reset if the assigned traffic stream is green, all waiting times of the detectors assigned to the traffic stream have been reset or if the traffic stream is in the "inactive" state. If there is no way to reset the traffic stream waiting time, the (NOT) condition can no longer be fulfilled and the dependent traffic stream would never be registered again.

Condition

Condition

The conditions specify the linkage of the individual elements.

Comment

Link

6.2.5

Logical call of traffic streams is only made if the traffic stream to be called has red.

Link

6.2.6

For logical traffic stream links, the logical type "call and extension" now also works.
