Description
  • Short name of the object. 
  • Must be unique within this object group. 
  • A name must be entered.

Range of values
  • 1 – 32 characters (However, for some objects, a warning is displayed if there are more than 10 characters, as this is not permitted in OCIT-I).

Permitted characters
  • A letter / digit / underscore / white space; or
  • A symbol, but only one of + =   ^ $ £ ° | € < >; or
  • One of the control chars: backspace, form feed, newline, carriage return, horizontal tab, vertical tab; or
  • Every punctuation mark . , ; : ! ? " ' ( ) [ ] { } / \ - _ @ # % & *.
