In such an environment, there is no monitor and keyboard to make changes to the parametrisation. For this reason, a tool is needed to create and supply the parameters.
In the early days of vs | plus, this was done in a file and provided when the kernel was created. Over time, various tools have been offered that enable vs | plus parametrisation. The following tools are currently available:
vs | workSuite: This is the tool that covers the entire range of vs | plus parametrisation. The vs | workSuite has been in operation for many years and is no longer being developed further. 
vs | studio: This is the follow-up tool and replaces vs | workSuite. In addition to the latest technology, the validation of vs | plus parameters has been improved to prevent incorrect parameterisations from being created. Wizards are also provided to assist the user in creating parameterisations.
