The table minor series same as main series is activated in the programme definition in the column Principle definition for minor series. Not all traffic streams have to be included in the table, they can be omitted. However, each traffic stream, regardless of the priority class, may only be entered once. This defined minor series may also contain conflicting traffic streams to the main stream. These are ignored during processing.

Traffic Stream

In the case of rank-dependent stage control, rank-dependent secondary series can be defined for secondary streams with call. In this case, each rank, i.e., each main traffic stream, can be assigned its own secondary series. This approach is especially useful for heavy traffic since the definition of stages can have an impact on performance (intergreen times). However, in the case of light traffic, a high degree of flexibility is required. For each main traffic stream, all combinations that are allowed based on the conflict matrix should be enabled. In order to facilitate this definition, vs | plus provides the parameter minor series same as main series. This can be used to define a minor series that is valid for all ranks. By default, this minor series is set up according to the main series. However, traffic streams that are undesirable in the minor series can be omitted. The order in which the secondary streams are to be taken into account must be entered.
