Major stream re-service flag:

Cyclic processing of the main series:

Main streams are green the first time according to the standard procedure. A repetition as a main stream depends on the re-service flag for main streams

The re-service flag can have the following values:

  • Repetition allowed as main stream
    • Main stream may repeat freely
    • Main stream may repeat with tg min1
    • Main stream may repeat with tg min2
    • Main stream may repeat with tg max1
    • Main stream may repeat with tg max2
  • Repetition as main stream not permitted:
    • o Main stream may NOT repeat

Acyclic processing of the main series:

The re-service flag for main streams has no meaning in the acyclical method.

Minor stream re-service flag:

Cyclic processing of the main series:

  • no special conditions with free repetition, the permitted green duration is set to tg max2:
    • Minor stream may repeat freely
  • the following conditions apply to both the first green and the repetition as a minor stream:
    • minor stream may switch on if with tg rest greater than or equal to tg min1
    • minor stream may switch on if with tg rest greater than or equal to tg min2
    • minor stream may switch on if with tg rest greater than or equal to tg max1
    • minor stream may switch on if with tg rest greater than or equal to tg max2
    • minor stream must NOT repeat
  • the first green is given without any further condition with a permitted green length of tg max2. The following conditions apply for the repetition:
    • minor stream may repeat if with tg rest greater than or equal to tg min1
    • minor stream may repeat if with tg rest greater than or equal to tg min2
    • minor stream may repeat if with tg rest greater than or equal to tg max1
    • minor stream may repeat if with tg rest greater than or equal to tg max2
    • minor stream must NOT repeat

As of vs | plus version 8.0.0, the re-service flag for minor streams without call has been added.

Acyclic processing of the main series:

The permitted green duration for minor streams is determined in each case by the residual green condition. This is dependent on the re-service flag:

  • Repetition as minor stream allowed:
    • No special conditions, minor stream may repeat freely. The permitted green duration is set to tg max2.
    • Remaining green must be greater than tg min1. The permitted green duration is set to tg min2.
    • Remaining green must be greater than tg min2. The permitted green duration is set to tg max1.
    • Remaining green must be greater than tg max1. The permitted greening duration is set to tg max2.
    • Remaining green must be greater than tg max2. The permitted green duration is set to tg max2.
  • Repetition as minor stream not allowed:
    • not allowed as minor stream
